Possible DUI Incident Leaves One Seriously Injured in South Park Hill

DENVER, CO 8/29/2025. On August 29, 2025, at 10:04 PM, a traffic incident involving a possible driving under the influence case was reported near the intersection of E 17th Avenue and N Bellaire Street in Denver’s South Park Hill neighborhood. Located approximately half a mile east of Colorado Boulevard and less than a mile north of Colfax Avenue, the incident involved a passenger car traveling eastbound. The vehicle was reported to have been going straight when it struck other fixed objects on the roadway, leading to one person sustaining serious injuries. Careless driving is noted as a factor, and the area was dark but illuminated by street lighting. There have been 143 other reported incidents in this neighborhood since August 31, 2024.
