On October 27, 2024, at approximately 9:10 PM Mountain Time, a traffic incident was reported in the Overland neighborhood of Denver near the intersection of S Santa Fe Dr and W Mississippi Ave. The scene involved a collision with a concrete highway barrier and two northbound vehicles: a pickup truck/utility van and a passenger car. The driver of the pickup truck was reportedly engaged in careless and aggressive driving, raising suspicions of a possible DUI. Despite the severity of the incident, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. The area in question is located a short distance north from the major cross streets, and has experienced a total of 201 incidents in the past year.
