Possible DUI Incident Reported on Vasquez Blvd in Denver’s Elyria Swansea

DENVER, CO 12/29/2024. On December 29, 2024, at 4:40 PM, a traffic incident was reported on the 4700 block of North Vasquez Boulevard in Denver’s Elyria Swansea neighborhood. The accident occurred at a non-intersection location approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the nearest major cross streets, East 48th Avenue and Vasquez Boulevard. A passenger car traveling northeast reportedly went out of control and ran off the right side of the road, landing in a ditch. Although there were no serious injuries or fatalities, the driver’s careless actions and other factors possibly suggest involvement of driving under the influence. This marks the 347th incident in the Elyria Swansea area since December 29, 2023.
