Possible DUI Involved in Denver I-25 Collision, One Seriously Injured

DENVER, CO 12/24/2025. On December 24, 2025, at 6:12 PM MT, a traffic incident was reported involving two SUVs on northbound I-25 near East Hampden Avenue in the Hampden South neighborhood of Denver. Approximately one mile south of the Yale Avenue exit, the collision resulted in at least one serious injury with no fatalities. The crash involved a sequence of front-to-rear and highway barrier impacts under dark, but lighted, conditions. The driver of the first SUV was allegedly changing lanes and driving aggressively, possibly under the influence, while the second SUV, traveling straight, had no apparent contributing factors. This incident marks the 476th reported incident in Hampden South since December 24, 2024.
