Possible DUI Involved in Rear-End Collision on E 45th Ave

DENVER, CO 11/20/2025. A traffic incident potentially involving Driving under the Influence was reported on November 20, 2025, at 11:43 AM in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood, Denver. The collision occurred on E 45th Ave, approximately half a mile west of the major cross streets of E 46th Ave and N Colorado Blvd. The incident involved a medium/heavy truck traveling north that followed too closely and collided front-to-rear with a passenger car that was stopped in traffic. The event, which took place in an auxiliary lane, resulted in no serious injuries or fatalities. The scene was described as dark but well-lit, and the location adds to the 403 traffic incidents reported in Elyria Swansea since November 23, 2024.
