Possible DUI Suspected in City Park West Two-SUV Collision on Wet Roads

On October 18, 2024, at 2:14 PM, a traffic incident involving two SUVs was reported on the 1300 block of E 16th Ave in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred approximately 0.3 miles east of the intersection of E 16th Ave and N Downing St. The crash, characterized as a ‘Front to Rear’ collision, happened on a wet roadway under dark but lighted conditions. One SUV was reported to be traveling westbound along E 16th Ave with a noted action of careless driving, potentially influenced by driving under the influence, although there were no serious injuries or fatalities reported.
