Reckless Driving Leads to Injury on I-25 in Denver

DENVER, CO 8/23/2025. A traffic incident involving reckless driving occurred at approximately 10:45 PM on August 23, 2025, near the intersection of I-25 Highway Northbound and South University Boulevard in the Washington Park neighborhood of Denver. A passenger car ran off the right side of the road while negotiating a curve, striking a concrete highway barrier. The accident, which occurred in a dark but lighted section of a non-intersection road, resulted in one serious injury, although no fatalities were reported. The incident took place roughly 1 mile east of the major cross streets. This adds to the 161 other reported incidents in the Washington Park area since August 24, 2024.
