Serious Injury in Traffic Incident at E Colfax Ave and N Monaco St

DENVER, CO 8/20/2025. A serious traffic incident was reported in Denver’s Montclair neighborhood at 4:58 AM on August 20, 2025. The collision, involving two SUVs, occurred at the intersection of E Colfax Avenue and N Monaco Street, approximately three miles east of downtown Denver. A westbound SUV failed to stop at the signal, resulting in a front-to-side collision with a southbound SUV. The crash led to one serious injury, though no fatalities were recorded. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, adding to the 158 previously reported traffic incidents in Montclair since August 21, 2024.
