Suspected DUI Incident Involving Two SUVs in Sunnyside Neighborhood

DENVER, CO 2/22/2025. On February 22, 2025, at 7:46 PM, a traffic incident occurred in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver on the 4000 block of North Navajo Street, approximately 0.2 miles northwest of West 40th Avenue and Tejon Street. The incident involved two SUVs, with one vehicle making a northward right turn that resulted in ‘front to side’ and ‘front to rear’ collisions with a parked SUV. The report noted careless driving as a contributing factor and indicated potential involvement of driving under the influence. Despite the collision occurring on an unlighted part of the roadway, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. This adds to the 176 incidents reported in the Sunnyside area since February 2024.
