Suspected DUI Incident Reported Near Broadway and Cedar in Speer Neighborhood

DENVER, CO 4/20/2025. On the evening of April 20, 2025, at approximately 8:39 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of South Broadway Street and East Cedar Avenue in the Speer neighborhood of Denver. This non-intersection accident involved a passenger car traveling south that reportedly ran off the left side of the road, striking a curb. The vehicle’s movement was described as going straight, with the driver allegedly engaged in careless driving under dark-lighted conditions. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries or fatalities. The location of the incident is approximately 0.1 miles south of the major cross streets of South Broadway and West Alameda Avenue. Notably, authorities have flagged the incident as possibly involving Driving under the Influence. This marks the 307th traffic-related incident in the Speer neighborhood since April 20, 2024.
