Two Seriously Injured in Icy Road Bus Incident near Peña Boulevard

DENVER, CO 2/13/2025. On February 13, 2025, at 8:31 AM, a non-school bus carrying multiple passengers was involved in a serious traffic incident on the outbound lane of Peña Boulevard in Denver. The bus, traveling west and negotiating a curve, encountered challenging icy road conditions approximately two miles east of the Peña Boulevard and Tower Road intersection. The vehicle struck a curb and subsequently collided with a large rock or boulder twice, resulting in two serious injuries. Careless driving was cited as a contributing factor, with the driver reportedly looking but failing to see potential hazards. Despite the severity of the incident, no fatalities were reported.
