DENVER, CO 11/20/2024. In the early hours of November 20, 2024, a traffic incident involving a bicycle and a passenger car occurred at the intersection of South Albion Street and East Iowa Avenue in Denver’s Virginia Village neighborhood. Reported at 1:50 AM Mountain time, the accident happened about 0.2 miles southwest of the major cross streets of South Monaco Parkway and East Iowa Avenue. Authorities indicate the cyclist did not obey traffic signals, contributing to the collision, while the car was traveling west without any contributing actions from the driver. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported in this incident, which adds to the 189 other reported incidents in the neighborhood since last year.
