On August 23, 2024, at approximately 2:37 AM MT, a serious traffic incident occurred at the intersection of 18th St and Welton St in Denver’s Central Business District (CBD). The accident involved a southbound vehicle, classified as ‘Other Vehicle Type,’ that was cited for careless driving after it collided front-to-side with a northbound passenger car that was proceeding straight and reported no driver-related contributing factors. One person from the cited vehicle sustained serious injuries while no fatalities were reported. This marks the 233rd incident in the CBD neighborhood since August 24, 2023.
