DENVER, CO 5/21/2025. On May 21, 2025, at 4:53 PM, a traffic incident was reported on southbound I-25 at its interchange with northbound I-225, approximately 0.5 miles south of the major cross streets in the Hampden South neighborhood, Denver. Two passenger vehicles traveling north collided when one lost control and struck a concrete highway barrier before impacting the side of the other vehicle. The collision, described as involving careless driving, resulted in one person being seriously injured. No fatalities were recorded in the incident, which occurred on a dark-lighted, non-intersection stretch of the roadway. This adds to the 392 incidents reported in the Hampden South area over the past year.
