On August 23, 2024, at approximately 8:36 AM, a traffic incident involving a pedestrian occurred on 1391 N Speer Blvd in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Denver. The incident took place on the roadway, not at an intersection, about 0.5 miles north of 13th Avenue. A passenger car traveling north and attempting to merge into traffic failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a collision with a pedestrian. The driver was reported to be distracted by interior activities. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. This incident adds to the 536 traffic incidents recorded in the Lincoln Park area over the past year.
