Pedestrian Injured in Evening Traffic Incident at 28th St and Walnut St

DENVER, CO 1/2/2026. On the evening of January 2, 2026, at approximately 7:09 PM, a pedestrian was involved in a traffic incident at the intersection of 28th St and Walnut St in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred approximately half a mile north of the major cross streets Brighton Blvd and 29th St. It involved a passenger car traveling east, making a right turn, when the driver failed to yield the right of way, leading to the pedestrian being struck. Luckily, there were no serious injuries or fatalities reported. The collision took place under dark but lighted conditions. This incident marks one of the 742 reported in the Five Points neighborhood over the past year.
