Possible DUI Collision Involving Pickup and SUV Reported in West Colfax

DENVER, CO 4/27/2025. On April 27, 2025, at approximately 5:35 PM, a traffic incident was reported on the 1700 block of N Hooker St, about half a mile south of the major cross streets W Colfax Ave and N Federal Blvd in the West Colfax neighborhood of Denver. The incident, which occurred on a dark but lighted roadway, involved a southbound pickup truck performing careless driving and making contact with a parked SUV in a side-to-side and front-to-rear sequence. Although no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, the accident is under investigation as it may involve driving under the influence. This incident adds to the 220 traffic-related events recorded in the neighborhood since April 30, 2024.
