Possible DUI Incident in Denver Involves Car Running Off I-25

DENVER, CO 9/4/2025. A traffic incident, reported at 8:30 PM on September 4, 2025, occurred near I-25 northbound and East Hampden Avenue in Denver’s Hampden South neighborhood. Approximately 0.3 miles north of these major cross streets, a passenger car ran off the right side of the road, hitting an embankment and then striking a concrete highway barrier twice. The scene was illuminated by street lighting, but reports suggest the driver was out of control due to careless driving. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported, but the incident is being investigated as a possible case of driving under the influence. This adds to 448 other reported incidents in this neighborhood over the past year.
