Possible DUI Incident in Hale Involving Barrier Collision

DENVER, CO 10/5/2025. On October 5, 2025, at 5:45 PM, a traffic incident was reported along E Colfax Ave, approximately half a mile west of the major cross streets of E Colfax Ave and N Cherry St in Denver’s Hale neighborhood. The incident, which may involve driving under the influence, included a passenger car traveling west that carelessly drove into the center median, colliding with a concrete highway barrier and ultimately landing in a ditch. The road conditions at the time were wet and dark with street lighting. No serious injuries or fatalities occurred, but the driver was reportedly unfamiliar with the area.
