Possible DUI Incident Involves SUV Striking Utility Pole in University Neighborhood

DENVER, CO 10/25/2025. On October 25, 2025, at 7:54 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of E Evans Ave and S High St, approximately 0.2 miles east of the Evans Avenue and University Boulevard intersection in Denver’s University neighborhood. An SUV traveling west made a left turn and collided with a utility pole, in what appears to be a case of careless driving. The incident occurred under dark but lighted conditions, with no serious injuries or fatalities reported. With 183 other incidents in the area since October 28, 2024, this event may also involve driving under the influence.
