Possible DUI Incident on E 17th Ave Results in Collision with Utility Pole

DENVER, CO 12/28/2024. On December 28, 2024, at 8:43 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of E 17th Avenue and N Gaylord York Alley in the City Park West neighborhood of Denver. A passenger car traveling east reportedly struck a utility pole while going straight, with no serious injuries or fatalities reported. The incident occurred approximately 0.1 miles southeast of the major cross streets of E 17th Avenue and York Street. Although no specific human contributing factors were observed, the event is under investigation for possibly involving driving under the influence. This marks one of the numerous incidents reported in the neighborhood over the past year.
