Possible DUI Incident on I-25 Northbound in Jefferson Park

DENVER, CO 4/29/2025. A traffic incident suspected to involve driving under the influence was reported on April 29, 2025, at 9:54 PM in the Jefferson Park neighborhood of Denver. Occurring on I-25 Northbound near W 23rd Ave, roughly a quarter of a mile north of this major intersection, the crash involved a northbound passenger car and a parked pickup truck. Initial reports suggest the passenger car ran off the right side of the road and collided with the side of the parked vehicle in a dark, lighted area, without any serious injuries or fatalities reported. The driver of the passenger car was cited for careless driving, possibly missing the parked vehicle due to looking but not seeing. This marks the 227th reported incident in Jefferson Park over the past year.
