Possible DUI Incident on I-70 Leads to Serious Injury in Central Park

DENVER, CO 4/19/2025. A traffic incident possibly involving driving under the influence was reported on April 19, 2025, at 8:54 PM in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood. The accident occurred on the eastbound lanes of I-70, about a mile east of N Central Park Blvd. A passenger car lost control and struck a concrete highway barrier, resulting in one person sustaining serious injuries. The area, known for its 1056 reported incidents in the past year, was under dark but well-lit conditions at the time of the crash. The vehicle, described as a passenger car or van, veered out of control on the roadway, highlighting potential reckless driving behavior. No fatalities were reported.
