Possible DUI Incident on I-70 Leaves One Seriously Injured

DENVER, CO 9/28/2025. A traffic incident possibly involving driving under the influence was reported on September 28, 2025, at 8:30 PM in Denver, on the I-70 ramp at Steele Street. The accident, which occurred on a roadway marked by concrete highway barriers, involved a passenger car heading east. A single vehicle was noted to have been traveling straight while carelessly driving under dark-lighted conditions, ultimately resulting in significant impact with the barriers. The incident took place approximately 2 miles northeast of Downtown Denver. One occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries, but no fatalities were reported.
