DENVER, CO 12/6/2025. On December 6, 2025, at 3:30 PM, a traffic incident potentially involving Driving under the Influence was reported at the intersection near 1800 N Downing St in Denver’s City Park West neighborhood. The accident occurred approximately 0.2 miles south of the Colfax Avenue and Downing Street intersection. Involving a westbound SUV and a southbound passenger car, the collision was characterized by a ‘front to front’ harmful event sequence. The SUV driver was noted to have failed to stop at a signal. Despite the severity of the situation, there were no reported serious injuries or fatalities. This incident contributes to the ongoing concerns, adding to the 206 other incidents recorded in the City Park West area since the previous year.
