Possible DUI Incident Reported at Sunnyside Intersection

DENVER, CO 12/7/2024. On December 7, 2024, a traffic incident was reported at 8:04 PM near the intersection of North Pecos Street and West 44th Avenue in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood. The collision involved two passenger cars, both traveling straight, with one moving west and the other north. The incident occurred on the roadway at the intersection, where the lighting was adequate despite the dark conditions. No serious injuries or fatalities were noted, but one driver failed to stop at the signal. The incident is under investigation, with a possibility of driving under the influence being involved. The scene is located approximately half a mile southwest of the major cross streets of East 48th Avenue and North Osage Street.
