Possible DUI Incident Reported on Brighton Blvd in Elyria Swansea

DENVER, CO 10/28/2025. On October 28, 2025, at 5:53 PM, a traffic incident was reported on the 4800 block of N Brighton Blvd in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood of Denver. Approximately 1.5 miles northwest of the major cross streets of York Street and 46th Avenue, a passenger car, negotiating a curve while traveling north, crossed the center median into opposing lanes. The incident involved the vehicle striking a barricade multiple times but resulted in no serious injuries or fatalities. The driving behavior has prompted speculation about a possible Driving under the Influence scenario. This report adds to the 395 traffic-related incidents documented in the same neighborhood since October 29, 2024.
