Possible DUI Suspected in Pickup and Truck Collision on I-70 in Denver

DENVER, CO 8/28/2025. On August 28, 2025, at 9:57 PM, a traffic incident was reported on the eastbound lanes of I-70 and the southbound lanes of I-225 in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. The incident, occurring approximately one mile southwest of the major intersection, involved a collision between a pickup truck and a medium/heavy truck. Both vehicles were traveling east when the pickup, attempting a lane change, collided side-to-side with the truck on a dark but lighted roadway, causing no serious injuries or fatalities. Authorities suspect the involvement of driving under the influence, although no contributing human factors were observed from either driver. This marks incident number 1168 in the Central Park neighborhood since August of last year.
