Reckless Driving Causes Severe Injury at Denver Intersection

DENVER, CO 7/17/2025. On July 17, 2025, at approximately 2:50 PM, a traffic incident involving reckless driving occurred at the intersection of South Downing Street and East Arkansas Avenue in the Washington Park West neighborhood of Denver. An unidentified hit-and-run vehicle driving north collided front to side with a passenger car and passenger van that was making a left turn. The incident resulted in one serious injury, but no fatalities were reported. The intersection is located a short distance from the major cross streets of South Downing Street and East Arkansas Avenue. This marks the 253rd reported traffic incident in the area over the past year.
