Serious Injury in I-25 University Ramp Crash; Careless Driving Suspected

DENVER, CO 12/6/2024. On December 6, 2024, at 7:27 PM, a traffic incident with serious injuries was reported on the northbound I-25 to northbound University ramp, 0.3 miles southeast of the South University Boulevard. The incident involved a passenger car that reportedly crossed the center median into opposing lanes due to the driver losing control in the dark, lighted conditions. Careless driving attributed to the driver’s age and ability is suspected as a contributing factor. One individual sustained serious injuries, although no fatalities were reported. This incident adds to the 160 traffic incidents reported in the Washington Park neighborhood since December 7, 2023.
