DENVER, CO 1/1/2026. A serious traffic incident was reported at 7:00 AM on January 1, 2026, at the intersection of I-25 and E Yale Ave, in the Hampden neighborhood of Denver. The collision involved an SUV and a passenger car traveling northbound. The SUV, which failed to stop at the traffic signal due to a medical issue with the driver, collided side to side and front to front with the other vehicle. The accident resulted in one serious injury, with no fatalities reported. This incident is part of a series of 259 reported traffic incidents in Hampden since January 2, 2025.
