Serious Injury Reported in Early Morning Collision at W Florida Ave and S Platte River Dr

DENVER, CO 9/2/2025. A serious traffic incident resulting in one injury was reported on September 2, 2025, at 3:48 AM in the Overland neighborhood of Denver. The collision occurred at the intersection of W Florida Ave and S Platte River Dr, involving a pickup truck utility van traveling west and a medium/heavy truck proceeding south. The pickup truck was reported to be driven carelessly with distraction by external factors as a contributing element. The passenger of the pickup truck suffered serious injuries. This is the 225th traffic incident reported in the Overland area since September 4, 2024.
