DENVER, CO 4/23/2025. On April 23, 2025, at approximately 3:56 PM MT, a traffic incident was reported in the Virginia Village neighborhood of Denver, involving an SUV crashing into a curb, sign, and eventually a light pole on the 4300 block of E Jewell Ave. The accident occurred less than a mile east of the intersection of S Colorado Blvd and E Jewell Ave. The SUV was negotiating a curve in a dark-lighted area when it ran off the left side of the road on a ramp, striking the objects in sequence. The second vehicle involved, a Passenger Car/Passenger Van, was parked and unoccupied at the time. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities are investigating the possibility of the driver being under the influence, given that careless driving was noted as a primary factor in the mishap. This incident marks the 183rd traffic-related occurrence in Virginia Village over the past year.
