As a Denver motorcycle accident lawyer, Scott loves working with the motorcycle community, and he’s been doing it for more than 20 years. But there’s one thing that drives him absolutely crazy.
So one of the things that drives me absolutely crazy is in my motorcycle cases, which are some of my favorite cases that I work on, and I love the community–I mean sincerely and dearly–and I’ve been working with it for over 20 years. But there’s times I want to choke you guys out after the case is finished, and I’ll explain why.
We’ll finish your case, and we have involved the defendants insurance, and we’ve gotten everything we can from them, and we have gotten everything we can get from your insurance. And in some cases you didn’t really have underinsured motorist coverage, and after this case you clearly learned that had you had more insurance, like a $100,000, $250,000 or an umbrella on top of that for even more, we could have used every single dollar of it, and then we’re settling and we’re dispersing the money to you.
We’re excited you’re on your new Harley or your new bike and you’re riding away and I always make sure I ask, hey did you upgrade your underinsured motorist coverage? Did you get the kind of coverage we’ve talked about now for the last year or so? There’s so many times that you say no you haven’t done it, and you haven’t gotten the new insurance that we talked about, and that you just lived through had you had it, oh my god, it would have made all the difference in the world for you and your family!
So that’s one thing that I think on a regular basis, it comes up at least once a month for me in my motorcycle cases, where I sincerely just want to be like, what in the world? Did you not understand about what just happened and why it’s so important for you to get more insurance?! Sorry. It’s my pet peeve. Otherwise, love you guys.
